Donation Drop-Off in Four Simple Steps

Step 1: Check out our list of acceptable donations to see if your item is a good fit. This list changes based on current inventory, so please check back each time you want to donate. Of special note, if you are planning to make a sizable drop off donation (for example a box truck full) please call in advance at least a day or two to make arrangements at 312-563-0296 ext. 203.

Step 2: You can drop off your donation at the ReStore anytime between 11:00 AM and 5:30 PM Wednesday through Sunday. The ReStore is located at 6040 N. Pulaski Rd. in Chicago. Please be a good neighbor and don’t leave items when the ReStore is closed. Please note our staff reserves the right to refuse any items based on their quality, condition, or inventory at the time of drop-off.

Directions to the donation drop-off door: From Pulaski turn west onto Glenlake Ave., then turn left into the first alley. Donation drop-off is located at door #4. If the garage is closed, ring the doorbell.

Step 3: If you are unsure if your item(s) is acceptable, then contact us by filling out the donation request form below or calling the ReStore at 312-563-0296 ext. 203.

Step 4: Do a happy dance! You just helped build a brighter future for Chicago families and communities

Donation Pick-Up in Four Simple Steps

Can’t fit that fridge on the bus and don’t feel like walking it over? You can request a donation pick-up. Bonus: it’s totally free.

Step 1: Check out our list of acceptable donations to see if your item is a good fit. This list changes based on current inventory, so please check back each time you want to donate. Items must be in good-to-excellent condition and in good, working order for us to consider scheduling a pick-up.

Step 2:   All items must be approved by photo before a pick-up can be scheduled. Fill out the donation request form below and be prepared to attach photos.

Step 3: Once your donation pick-up has been approved, a member of our ReStore team will contact you to schedule the best date and time. For pick-ups, someone will need to be present and available with the items. All items must be easily accessible in a street level location only. We are unable to enter your residence or use any stairs to complete a pick-up. Please note our driver reserves the right to refuse any items based on their quality, condition, or inventory at the time of pick-up.

Step 4: Celebrate! You just diverted useful goods from a landfill and helped build stronger neighborhoods and bring safe, affordable housing to Chicagoans
