Thank you for your interest in the Neighborhood Grants Initiative. We are currently accepting grant applications for the Summer/Fall Project Period. The application form is available on this page and will remain open until October 30th or until all funds for the project period are awarded.

Please review the following information before filling out the application located at the bottom of the page.


Key dates for the current project period: Summer/Fall 2020

  • Dates of project execution: July - November 30th

  • Application period: Rolling deadline open until October 30th

  • Grant awards: Decisions will be communicated within 10 business days from application submission

  • Project completion and final report deadline: November 30th 

  • Groups that complete a project prior to October 30th may submit additional applications for the same project period

Your application paints a picture of your project idea for us. What's obvious to you may not be obvious to us, so the more detail you include in your written responses and budget, the better we will be able to understand what you want to accomplish through your project. You may attach additional files to your application if your project requires further explanation or if you would like to share more information with us.

Project Budget

Please list all items and/or services you will need for your project, as well as their anticipated quantities and costs.* If you are receiving items through donation, you can add those in here with a cost of $0. Use the "Add another response" button to add as many additional line items as you need. Don't forget to include any applicable taxes and delivery fees.

Contact Information

Please fill out the contact information below for everyone involved in the core planning group of your project. Your group must consist of three or more people. You can use the "Add another response" button to add additional group members to the form. Please note that everyone listed on this form will be expected to sign the Grant Acceptance Agreement, if the project is approved. 
This person will serve as the primary contact between your project group and Habitat Chicago
Uploading Additional Files

You have the option of attaching additional files to your application if you feel that your project requires further explanation or if you would like to share more information with us. Examples may include posters, flyers, invoices, or screenshots of specific items related to your project.
