The Cost of Housing Inequity in Chicago | Networking + Panel Discussion
Neighborhood disinvestment in Chicago affects all of us. Not sure how? Join us for a panel discussion about how Chicago's history of neighborhood redlining, land sale contracts, and gentrification not only impacts the targeted neighborhoods themselves, but also the quality of life for all residents of Chicago.
Doors open at 5:15 p.m. for networking and refreshments. The panel will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end with a Q&A. Attendance is free, but RSVPs are required, as space is limited.
Moderated by Habitat for Humanity Chicago's Executive Director Jen Parks, our expert panel for the evening will include:
- Tonika Lewis Johnson, Artist and Activist, Folded Map and Inequity for Sale projects
- Willie "J.R." Fleming, Executive Director, Chicago Anti-Eviction Campaign
- Marisa Novara, Housing Commissioner, Department of Housing, City of Chicago
