Worthy: A Christmas Cantata

Embrace the festive season with a soul-stirring performance of “Worthy: A Christmas Cantata.” This racial unity Christmas concert engages volunteer singers from diverse racial backgrounds to celebrate the holiday season through the unifying power of music and raise money for a great cause. 

 

“Worthy: A Christmas Cantata” is an original musical composition by Chicago-based recording artist and music educator, Lana Manson. “Worthy” presents the story of the birth of Jesus through diverse musical styles including opera, traditional Gospel, smooth jazz, rap, and more.

Since December 2022, this program has invited singers and guests to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and the power of music to unite communities across racial differences. This new holiday musical tradition is produced by Chicago native, Stephen Styles, a racial conciliation and justice advocate.
