POSITION OPENING: HOMEOWNERSHIP PROGRAMS MANAGER
Working in concert with the Real Estate and Build team, the Volunteers team, and the Neighborhood Engagement team, the Homeownership Programs team centers the experience and expertise of individual homebuyers, contributes to their readiness for homeownership, connects them to the fabric of the neighborhood, and serves as a resource in homeownership.
The Manager currently oversees two established programs – Affordable Homeownership Program and Homebuyer University.

You are familiar with the housing landscape of Chicago, the challenges to affordability, and the networks aiming to address the issue. You care deeply about the personal success of individuals seeking homeownership, have familiarity with the process of buying, and have creative vision, outstanding communication, project management, and teamwork skills to run the programs that help make it happen.
Affordable Housing in Chicago – Initiatives and Trends (35%)
The Homeownership Programs Manager is responsible for maintaining an accurate understanding of the affordable housing landscape and the corresponding work being done in Chicago, ensuring that Habitat Chicago is contributing to a broad-based, collaborative effort to increase access to affordable homeownership.
Program Management (50%)
Leadership and Teamwork (15%)
As a key Programs Team member, the manager contributes to our organizational health through enthusiastic collaboration, leadership, and personal integrity.
Salaried; $60,000-$65,000, depending on experience. 30+ vacation/sick/personal days per year. 90% employer paid health insurance: access to dental, and 401k (3% match) plans.
