The West Pullman Community Action Group meets monthly to focus on community concerns related to housing, jobs, safety and education.

Facilitated by Habitat Chicago and comprised of West Pullman community members like you, this association seeks to identify changes they would like to see in the neighborhood, and takes steps to make them come to life.

Beyond housing, the Community Action Group of approximately 150 stakeholders is working within their project teams to develop a communication system for job openings, discussing education needs and improving safety. Additional projects have included the annual West Pullman Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony; several job and resource fairs; the development of a mobile app to track and report vacant properties; and the installation of smoke detectors in 55 West Pullman homes.

This group has also recently formed a steering committee to establish leadership, increase membership, and set long-term goals.
