A Safe Haven is a nonprofit organization in Chicago that provides a range of services, including case management, job training and placement, educational classes, and affordable housing. Housing programs include transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, senior affordable housing, and affordable housing for individuals and families. 

Access Living is a local non-profit that serves people with disabilities. Their services include home and community-based services, housing services, legal services, youth programs, and consulting and training for businesses and nonprofits. Housing-related services include housing counseling, housing search assistance, housing transition support, legal services for disability-related housing discrimination, and referrals to home and community-based services. 

Bickerdike is a non-profit organization focused on the redevelopment of West Town, Humboldt Park, Logan Square, Hermosa, and Avondale. Within these neighborhoods, Bickerdike invests in affordable housing development and preservation, economic development with a focus on jobs, and leadership development. In addition to rental housing units, they also provide technical service and assistance to renters and homeowners, and small accessible repairs for seniors. 

Run by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, this neighborhood center offers free wellness classes and workshops, and connects community members with Health Educators as well as additional resources and services. Local community groups and nonprofits can also reserve their community room at no cost for meetings and other activities.

Breakthrough is a faith-based, non-profit organization that operates in East Garfield Park. Services include education and youth development programs, workforce development, health and wellness centers, violence prevention efforts, and housing programs. Housing programs include permanent supportive housing for unaccompanied adults and for families, transitional housing for unaccompanied men and women, and a daytime support center that can connect adults to a variety of resources. 

Catholic Charities provides a wide range of social services to residents of Lake and Suburban Cook counties. These services include (but are not limited to) emergency assistance, veterans services, affordable housing options, and legal assistance. 

The Center for Changing Lives provides a range of financially focused services to Chicagoans currently experiencing homelessness or a housing or financial hardship, with a focus on the Northwest side of Chicago. They focus on financial literacy, access to career pathways, improving credit, building assets, and developing the skills and capacities needed to achieve individualized goals. In addition to financial workshops, the Center for Changing Lives offers first-time homebuyer workshops and office careers training programs. 

The Chicago Housing Authority oversees public housing in Chicago and distributes Housing Choice Vouchers to eligible individuals and households. 

Offers low cost legal services on a sliding scale based on income.

Chicago Methodist Senior Services seeks to improve the quality of life for older adults in Chicago by offering moderately priced senior services that include memory care, short-term rehabilitation, long-term skilled nursing, supportive living, low-income housing, and computer and technology services.
