NEIGHBORHOOD GRANTS INITIATIVE INFO SESSION (04/29/2026)
Are you a resident of the West Pullman, Greater Grand Crossing, or Austin neighborhoods? Have you and your neighbors ever wanted to work on a project together to make an impact in your community?
Now may be the time to bring your ideas to life with a Neighborhood Grant! These small grants provide funding opportunities for resident groups who want to take on community-focused projects alongside their neighbors. Whether you’re interested in doing a physical project (like a mural or community garden) or a social one (like a resource fair or block club event), consider applying for funding through the Neighborhood Grants Initiative.
Habitat Chicago is hosting an info session for new and recurring applicants on April 29th. We will be discussing eligibility requirements, application steps, funding updates, and requirements for final reporting. Our special guest Bernardo Gomez, Policy Advisor at the Mayor's Office of Community Safety, will discuss the ways that the Mayor's Office People's Plan: Community Activation Fund can support applicants of our NGI program by providing resources such as tables, chairs, sanitary stations, games, generators and other safe-space supplies to assist with project success.
