Project Description: This project group distributed matching holiday decorations to all of the homes on their block, including door wreaths and red and green lights. On Christmas Eve the project group also handed out cookies to all of their neighbors.
In their Words
"The block of 115th and Carpenter was decorated with holiday cheer. The light posts were decorated with alternating green and red bulbs, and wrapped with garland. On Christmas Eve, each participating neighbor was given a Christmas wreath and cookies. One of the volunteers who assisted with passing out wreaths talked with neighbors, igniting them about future projects and reinstating the neighborhood block club. Many of the neighbors were excited about the prospect."
