Donation Bundling: ACE Hardware Spring Show at McCormick Place - March 15th, 2020

Hey, ReStore Volunteers! It's your turn to help!

Help Habitat for Humanity's ReStore Chicago bundle and load donations at the ACE Hardware Spring Show at McCormick Place. Proceeds from the ReStore provide funding for Habitat for Humanity Chicago in an effort to eliminate indecent housing in our neighborhoods. With your help, Habitat Chicago homeowners achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build a better life for themselves and their families - creating stronger communities and a stronger Chicago.

Volunteers must dress appropriately for an active warehouse: close-toed, close-heeled, hard-soled shoes or boots; layers for the weather and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. For this event, volunteers must be able to push/pull/lift up to 75 lbs with assistance. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a water bottle and snack for the day.

Lunch will be provided by Habitat for Humanity.  Meet us at McCormick Place or meet at ReStore at 7:00 AM to carpool together.

From One Volunteer to Another:

"This was my first year doing Habitat for Humanity and I hope the ADA remains involved because I can't even begin to describe what a wonderful day I had. This experience is the definition of team building. We had to work together and effectively communicate in order to complete the task at hand. Everyone who I worked with that day was outside of my division. I met and interacted with people I've only seen in passing, or have never encountered at all. Such a rewarding day spent with great coworkers – can't wait for next year!"
